Aménagement et rénovation de bureau professionnel
It was 1965 when Arne Jacobsen made history with the Oxford™ chair. Today the chair is a classic in the Fritz Hansen collection.
The chair’s extra tall back served as a symbol of prestige and created a space of its own. The “professor’s chair” later evolved into the Oxford series. In spite the initial protests and uproar over the commission of a foreign modernist, Arne Jacobsen received an honorary doctorate from Oxford, upon completion of the project. This groundbreaking example of total design is, today, considered Arne Jacobsen’s most outstanding work.
The Oxford™ Classic is a series of chairs and armchairs. All chairs are available with a low or medium back height, in fabric or leather. The armrests and base (5-star) are die-cast aluminium in a satin polished finish. The base can be configured with either double-castors with aluminium/black plastic.
